The congregation of FPC lives out its calling to be disciples of Jesus Christ as it supports mission programs locally, nationally, and internationally. Our support includes financial offerings, collections of tangible items, and hands-on participation in various mission activities. For specific opportunities, please refer to the FPC mission calendar.

2011-2012 Mission Calendar

Open Door, our in-church mentoring program for more than 20 years, partners church members with at-risk children from a neighborhood school in a program that meets weekly.

Alcoholics Anonymous has received FPC’s support for more than 25 years. The church provides meeting rooms and kitchen space for more than 20 weekly meetings as well as seasonal all-night meetings.

Mission Trips occur annually. We support and participate in youth and adult national and international mission trips.

Collections occur regularly, including monthly offerings to the Frederick County Food Bank, special collections in response to needs that arise, and denominational offerings. In the past we have collected household and hygiene items, books, clothing, used cell phones, school supplies, Thanksgiving food baskets, and phone cards for military personnel overseas.
